These are reflection questions that we came up with or were on the plan sheet,
under ‘Self-Evaluation Page’. Our Questions: 1. Do you think everyone had input? Some people too much, some not enough? Isy: I think we all did our parts, Anna did a great job ion the drawings and Irene did take a while on the plot but that's really good also. The movie was good also. Irene: I think everyone in my group did a reasonable amount of work towards the website. All of us did a certain section and successfully completed it. Anna: I think we all did a good job, we each worked quite differently but it came together really well. I think the end product was really good and noone had to do TOO much work. 2. Do you think anyone didn’t do enough work or someone did too much? Isy: I did do a fair bit of work but I don't mind because I enjoyed it. I hope my group don't think that I didn't do too much because i was just trying to get it done. Irene: I think some people in the group contributed slightly a bit more or less than work on the website than others. But overall, it was still fun working together as a group to complete the task. Anna: I think some people did more work tthan others but it was still fair and i was very happy with the end result. We did work on things that involved our strengths and the things we enjoyed doing, so in the end, it was a fun project that didn't involve TOO much work. 3. Did you like the book, or not so much? Isy: I suggested that my group reads this book, because I had read it before. It was still good the second time though, becase I'd forgotten what happened. I loved it both times. Irene: I absolutely enjoyed reading the entire book. "Girl Underground" definitely has a good storyline and it kept me in suspense throughout the whole story. Anna: I loved the book! I thought it was a great easy book to read and it was a really good story that i enjoyed reading. Analysis and Production process Questions: 1. How well did your group work together? Isy: i think my group worked well, all doing bits each and then working as a team to make the movie, sort of. The only time we didn't work well was when we tried to take photos. Irene: I think my group worked quite well. All of us did what we had to do and at the end, we combined all the information together. Anna: I think our group worked pretty well, we mainly went and did the work ourselves because it was easier and a lot quicker, i think we worked well like that. 2. What did you learn about the process of working as a team? Isy: The main thing that I learnt from working in a team was that if someone doesn't do enough or do their allocated part, the whole group can be disadventaged. Irene: I did not learn much as working as a team to complete tasks. The good thing about group work is that each group member can choose a part in the task that suits their strenghts and interests. Anna: I didn't learn that much about working as a group. Group work shows that different people have different strengths and that different people have different ideas of how much work we needed to do. |
3. What problems did you encounter and how were they
resolved? Isy: we couldn't decide who would do the film and what we were going to do, but after Irene just did it on the weekend, it was done. Irene: The original book we selected was called “Boy”, but we found that writing about the book was a bit hard because the book is mainly about personal development. This problem was resolved by choosing another book, which is “Girl Underground”. Anna: We didn't really have many problems, we worked well together and each did a good amount of work. We had some hard descisions about the movie and website but we easily resolved them. Website and film product Questions: 1. Are you pleased with your website? Why / why not? Isy: yes, since most of the extra stuff I did and I knew the effort that was put in. Although the site was frustrating at times I got the hang of it, kind of. Irene: Yes, I am definitely pleased with the work I have completed and also the rest of the website. It includes a lot of information and also a visual picture of the book ie the book trailer. Anna: Yep! I think the website came together really well and Isy put the information onto the pages in a nice, neat way. 2. Are you pleased with your film? Why / why not? Isy: I am pleased with is. It was good and I think that Irene did a good job. Irene: Yes, I am very pleased with my film that I have made. It includes pictures of the main characters of the book with captions about the plot points. On top of that, there is also my review of "Girl Underground". Anna: I am pleased witht he film, i think Irene did a really good job on it! 3. What do you think of the quality of your analysis notes? Isy: Although it was difficult to think of questions, I think once we had the questions we came up with great answers. Irene: I think the quality of my analysis notes are well written and it includes summaries of all aspects of the book. Anna: I think the anaylsis notes ended up really well. The writing wasn't too hard and because the book is a pretty simple story, i think writing the notes and the pages was quite easy. 4. What would you do in future to improve on the film, website and analysis notes? Isy: maybe if we had more time, I would get better pictures of us and take more time on the look of the website. But I'm very pleased with the writing part of things and the pictures aren't bad. Irene: I think my book trailer and anaylsis notes are completed to the best degree that they could be. The website probably could have a little more colour, but overall I think the information and the website turned out very well. Anna: I think that the website came out really well, and i think that there wouldn't be many things i would do to improve it. I rthink the notes came out well and so did the movie. |
